Alien Swarm is a game and Source SDK release from a group of talented designers at Valve who were hired from the Mod community. Available free of charge, the game thrusts players into an epic bug hunt featuring a unique blend of co-op play and squad-level tactics. With your friends, form a squad of four distinct IAF Marine classes.

In 2 days this game will be added to my 'Free And Legal PC Games' list which is currently at 1,035 games!

I played the UT2004 mod version way back in the day. They ported it over to the source engine but then after a long period with no progress updates I figured it was vaporware. I was very pleasantly surprised to see this news.

Tomorrow is the day !
I bought a PS3 yesterday, so I probably won't be checking this mod out anytime soon.

I think it looks pretty good. 4 player co-op, lots of weapons, custom maps, alien bug huntin'. What's not to love?
