Starcraft II Beta will launch in 2010

If anybody of you guys would've liked to play the beta this year, then you've got bad luck. At Igromir Expo, Chris Sigaty - Starcraft II's lead designer - has said the following to someone who asked him when it'll come out :

Sad thing is is that they do have 2 more SC2 titles coming out, so we can look towards the last one being done by 2012 at this rate. Besides, you know Blizzard, they take their time and won't release anything (Unless its name involves Warcraft) until its up to or exceeded expectations.

The beta is live, check your b.net accounts and emails. Some have the beta without an email so be sure to check both.

Minimum system requirements for the beta:

• Windows XP SP3/Vista SP1/Windows 7
• 2.2 Ghz Pentium IV or equivalent AMD Athlon processor
• 1 GB system RAM/1.5 GB for Vista and Windows 7
• 128 MB NVidia GeForce 6600 GT/ATI Radeon 9800 PRO video card
• 1024x768 minimum display resolution
• 4 GB free hard space (Beta)

They're doing it in waves, so you technically still have a chance. Considering how large Blizzard's user base is I wouldn't hold my breath, though.

I haven't gotten in yet either.
