Default PC's screen on the laptop.

Nothing's broken, I just see this as the general "Help" forum.

Anyway... I just bought the GTX 260 Jay recommended this Wednesday. With it, I received a cable which I think is a TV-Out cable (http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/3784/tvout2qd9.jpg).

What I want to know is what kind of cable or device I have to buy, to turn this into a USB output or something that I can put into my laptop. All I want to do really, is to have my pc's screen appear on my laptops screen. I know this is possible with a TV using Dazzle, so I assume it's also possible with a PC.

Isn't there an analog or digital VGA plug in on your laptop so you can hook up the graphics card with your laptop ?

*edit: nevermind, this will only work as a monitor for your laptop not otherwise.

I'm fairly certain you can't use the Laptop's screen as a monitor for your PC.

I didn't mean it like that. ^.^

I want to be able to broadcast my pc's screen on my laptop, in a window is something like that. So I would have my laptop turned on, and somehow see my pc's screen so I can use capture software and FML to broadcast it.

I believe I may know what you're talking about. Give this a try:

TeamViewer

No no. I'm not talking about remotely controlling my pc.

I want to be able to see my pc's screen on my laptop, not control it from there.

Maybe there just is no such thing out yet.

When I get a TV, I'll try using TV-out and use it as a monitor and use Dazzle to see the TV screen on my laptop. I just thought it was possible without a TV, but maybe I'm wrong.

Thanks for trying though.

Well, it puts your PC screen on your laptop, and you are not "forced" to control it from there. I use this program with my dad and still have full access from either computer. Was just a suggestion, good luck !
