Default Windows 7 - Media is fast forwarded

Well, I've had W7 in one day and i'm already having problems.
Every media i watch or listen to is fast forwarded!
It doesn't matter what program i use.

Anyone that have a clue what's causing this?
My sound card is Creative SB X-Fi Elite Pro with the latest drivers if that helps.
I thought i blew my speakers when the soundlevel went to 70% but i really hope that it's this that's causing all the noise in my speakers!

OK, I've just checked the speakers with my phone and they're fine!
And youtube and videos on the internet is not fast forwarded but i don't get much sound.

And creative autoupdater does not find any creative hardware in my computer! :S
And the song/video doesn't even start in WMP.

Well, now the music atleast plays.
But i still don't have any sound.
All sound work on my lameass onboard soundcard.

As WMP stops working when i have my Creative soundcard as default device i guess this is a driver problem.

I don't think that it is hardware problem, more software though I'm not sure what.
But if you don't get any sound at all, it could be the speakers, test it out with other speakers.

My speakers are fine.
But just in case i tested with other speakers but still no sound.

I've just noticed that it says "No jack information avalible" under the speakers properties. :O
I've now uninstalled and disabled my onboard soundcard and still nothing.

EDIT: Ok, I think i found the problem!
The installer doesn't install APOIM.
I have no idea how i'm going to install it.
I've read about people extracting something to some random folder and install it manually.
How do i do that?

The only good news is that the media isn't fast forwarded anymore.
Now they don't work at all.

Nice move on finding that out, I couldn't find anything related to that. You could always try to get a tech guy to help you, though I'm sure there is some answer somewhere out there on the internet, I'll have a look in my free time, if I find anything I'll post here.

Thx!
I know a guy that might help me but he is never at home anyway.

Btw, I found it here. ---> http://forums.creative.com/t5/Sound-...-LS/m-p/527290

Now everything works as expected. I found out that instalation doesn't install APOIM on my system. There was no APOMngr.dll, CmdRtr.dll in System32 and lack of regestry keys pointing to APOIM. I removed all of applications and drivers, and start fresh installation, when it was complete I moved to extracted directory to AppSetup\APOIM and manualy installed APOIM32. After restart it started working.

That's exactly the problem i'm having.

I just don't understand this.

Does he mean the directory that the installer extracted to?
And if, Where the hell is that?

Hmmmm, it could be in C/Program Files/Appsetup/APOIM or something like that. Have a look in there if you can find anything related to this APOIM thing, you might just have to extract it there then.
No prob, I'm usually here to help when I can

Edit:
Oh shit, if he's talking about extracting it into the Registry I'm clueless, rather not mess around in the Registry if you aren't experienced with it.

I've now tried to install APOIM manually from the Vista disk i got with the soundcard.
When i click APOIM64.EXE it asks me if i want to allow the program to run.
When i click yes nothing happens.
The install isn't even running at all. :/
