Default Six-Axis Calibration

Advertisement

I recently bought Dead Space from steam. The control scheme is clearly a PS3/Xbox style setup. I Began using mouse and keyboard, that wasn't working very well. The I tried a six-axis controller that I have had for a long time. This is where my trouble started.

I setup the controller and attempted to play the game. The axis controls are skewed. If I move the right analog stick (camera):
up = clockwise circle
down = counter clockwise circle
right = points up
left = points down

Does anyone know of a way to remedy this? Perhaps a calibration program or a *.cfg file I can edit. Ive been looking myself but I coming up empty handed. (I have tried other six-axis controllers and all of them seem to behave this way)

I don't have that specific game but I use to run into problems like that all of the freaking time. So what I did is I always set my games to play by KB if I can - Some game auto detect gamepads with no ability to enable or disable KB.

I then have all of my games play by gamepad using Joy2key. It saves me a lot of headaches.
